JIWOO's Temple Stay: A 'Detox' Journey Spent on Her Birthday at Boseonsa Temple
KARD member JIWOO celebrated her birthday with a special "detox" journey involving a temple stay at Boseonsa Temple in Jeonju, enzyme steaming, and an omakase meal. Accompanied by KARD member J.Seph, who acted as her manager, she experienced spiritual purification and physical detoxification.

KARD member JIWOO spent a special day purifying her mind and body to celebrate her birthday. Through a recently released vlog video, JIWOO showcased birthday content consisting of a temple stay at Boseonsa Temple in Jeonju, enzyme steaming, and a final meal.
Rest found at Boseonsa Temple, "Escaping the secular world to empty the mind"
Celebrating her October birthday, JIWOO visited Boseonsa Temple in Jeonju to rest her tired mind and body after finishing her activities. The concept of this birthday content is 'a time to escape the secular world, empty oneself, and purify the mind.' To facilitate this special day, JIWOO began her journey with KARD member J.Seph, who volunteered to act as her manager. J.Seph decided to serve as the Jeonju-based manager to assist JIWOO.

The schedule at Boseonsa Temple began with learning the temple's rules. The cast learned how to perform deep bows and confirmed the temple rule that one must not leave food behind during gongyang (meals). JIWOO learned the rules of temple food, noting that things like sesame oil should not be left over during gongyang. She also spent time looking at various Buddhist symbols within the temple. Looking at the statue of Budai, JIWOO performed a movement of circling the statue three times while praying for wisdom, and she experienced the atmosphere of the temple stay by asking questions about the temple scenery and the monks' daily routines. In particular, they discussed traditional routines, such as the monks waking up around 3 a.m. to ring the temple bell.
A 15-minute challenge, 'Body Detox' continuing with enzyme steaming
After completing the spiritual purification, JIWOO moved on to the 'detox' stage to empty her body. This was the enzyme steaming course. This process, which utilizes the heat from fermented rice bran and microorganisms, was conducted in a high-temperature environment where the internal temperature rises above 70 degrees Celsius.

JIWOO took on a 15-minute endurance challenge. In the video, JIWOO appeared to feel itchy or struggle during the steaming process, but she made an effort to complete the set time. After finishing the steaming, JIWOO expressed satisfaction, stating it had the same effect as doing two hours of aerobic exercise.
"Back to the secular world" The conclusion of the temple stay is omakase
Having emptied both her mind and body, JIWOO chose a meal for a 'reset' as her final schedule. She concluded the day by enjoying omakase, a 'taste of the secular world' that stood in contrast to the clean temple food of the temple stay.

JIWOO celebrated the end of her birthday by thanking J.Seph, who performed the role of manager, for his hard work. JIWOO completed a special birthday day by organizing this course consisting of a temple stay, enzyme steaming, and omakase.
