In particular, regarding the decision to divorce made about six months after giving birth, Ben said, "As a person who had to make the child happy, I had to take responsibility." She explained that once she decided she could not raise the child within a complete family, she took courage for the sake of the child and her own life. Regarding the extreme depression she experienced during this process, she conveyed her devastated state of mind at the time, saying, "At that time, I just wasn't there, I was dead. I thought I wouldn't be able to return to my place." She added that although she had believed herself to be healthy and strong during her 14 years of activity, she was in a state of having given up everything at that time.

What raised her up again was her daughter, Ri-a. Ben revealed that she cherished her daughter, who arrived during a difficult time, calling her by the prenatal nickname 'Angel', saying, "I feel like Ri-a came to save me." She added that the thought that she must be whole and happy herself in order to take responsibility for the child became the basis for her decision.
