Lara, a model from Spain, introduces herself as a "person whose hips don't stop moving." Since her childhood, Lara has admired the idea of working in front of a camera. One of the decisive factors that led her to South Korea was Korean dramas. The person in the video revealed that she was so immersed in Korean content that she could do nothing but watch dramas for 9 to 10 hours a day. In particular, mentioning the drama 'Boys Over Flowers', she candidly confessed the emotions she felt while watching the handsome Korean actors appearing in the series.

According to the KBS HUMAN video, Lara suggested that the feelings she had while watching handsome Korean men influenced her life in South Korea. She showed her characteristic bright energy while sharing a joke-filled story to the effect of, "I think I came to Korea because I was looking for a man similar to the handsome men in the dramas." Regarding her extroverted personality, her husband Kim Jeong-hun drew laughter by saying she is "someone he cannot control."

Starting from a Goshiwon to the daily life of a married couple

The beginning in South Korea was not entirely smooth. When Lara and her husband Kim Jeong-hun first met, they started modestly, living in a Goshiwon and a small studio apartment, respectively. The two met through an introduction from a friend and are now a married couple in their fourth year. They have currently moved to a slightly larger place to live.

The video captures the couple sharing their daily lives while cooking together. While making the Spanish dish 'Tortilla', Lara explained the difference between Mexican-style tortilla and the Spanish style. While preparing the Spanish-style tortilla made with potatoes, the two showed themselves living frugally, worrying about their schedules which have decreased due to the aftermath of COVID-19. Lara said, "Since there isn't much work lately because of COVID-19, we need to save money," and showed the process of making a Spanish dish using plenty of 4 chicken legs, 200g of pork, 6 shrimp, 5 potatoes, rice, and more.

"Only as much as I can spend" — A model's frugal consumption philosophy

Due to the nature of her profession as a model, one might expect her to encounter glamorous outfits, but Lara's spending habits are unexpectedly frugal. When situations arise where she must personally purchase clothes in the style requested by a client for a shoot, she sells clothes she no longer wears secondhand. In the video, Lara brought out clothes she had purchased for shoots to sell, saying, "It's better than keeping them at home." One of the sold clothes was traded for 38,000 won.

This spirit of saving stems from her mother's teachings. Lara stated, "My mother taught me to only spend as much as I can, and if I can't, don't spend it," revealing that her current frugal lifestyle formed naturally. Seeing her use the money from selling clothes to cover meals and saying, "With 5,000 won, I can eat one more meal," one can glimpse the realistic and strong life force hidden behind the glamorous life of a model.
